What has yoga got to offer a derby player?
Yoga can really help to enliven pre-training or pre-bout stretching, making it engaging for your players and ensuring better commitment to stretching which improves posture, flexibility and reduces injury.
It can also help to target some of those mental conditioning issues which can hold back a player on track. In my sessions I use visualisations and affirmations to bring skaters into a focused and mentally toned headspace, ready to go out and skate for the win.
