Yoga for Change Workshop Leeds
Saturday 24 March 2018
2 – 4 pm
We Are Wellness, Hyde Park, Leeds
Lucyoga’s Yoga for Change workshops explore how to practically use yoga to help you make change. Whether that change is within yourself, your immediate environment, or on a much wider scale related to political and social events. We will work specifically with how to deal with challenging and heightened emotions.
This workshop focuses on different aspects related to how you can keep yourself healthy and well at times of great change. We will also look at how to let go of negative feelings which can hinder our ability to change, and learn how to progress forward in challenging circumstances.

More about my Workshops
What is Dru Yoga?
Dru Yoga is a beautiful slow and flowing form of yoga that will help you to relax, unwind and stretch out your body. It can help revive tired muscles, reduce back pain and combat stress. Dru Yoga gives the mind and body much needed rest and relaxation, to help you find a still point in your busy world.
“It was very relaxing and really loosened my hip joints!” – Liam McCull
What to expect
These workshops will bring together physical movements and asana (yoga postures) with more subtle yoga techniques like mudras (hand gestures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation.
“Lucy’s classes never cease to amaze me. She puts such thought and care into the meaning of her teachings and what students will get from them. I always come away feeling more grounded and more inspired.” – Kelly Thompson
Intertwined with the asana we will try out mudras and pranayama which can help bring moments of peace and calm when you need them most – in the middle of your day and in challenging situations.
We’ll then take an extended relaxation, helped by the movement and stretching we’ve just done, and supported by bolsters and blankets so you can be as comfortable as possible.
“I’m too blissed out to say anything terribly meaningful except that it was really lovely” – Lydia
Throughout the workshops there will be a particular emphasis on how we can look after ourselves, even when it feels like there is no time or space to do so.
“Good mix of dynamic movement and relaxation and meditations. Nice pace and warm, supportive teacher” – Jess Haddon
The workshops are suitable for all, whether you are totally new to yoga, have been practicing for years, or anything in between.
“I always thought I wasn’t made for yoga but Lucy’s classes are brilliant – well guided, spiritual and make me feel I’ve achieved something” – Siobhan
The workshop will be suitable for those with health challenges, who are pregnant or post-natal. It is vital that you inform me in advance if you have any current or chronic health issues. Please also tell me if you are pregnant or less than 6 months post-natal.
