Spring Workshop with Lucyoga in Camberwell, London

This workshop will gift you an afternoon of soulful, slow and empowering Dru Yoga. Open and accessible to all we will work with nurturing yoga to prepare you for spring; the best time to think about your intentions for the year ahead.

 

This workshop is suitable for all and can be adapted to suit those struggling with health and fitness, who are pregnant, post-natal or just plain knackered.

Yoga for Change with Lucyoga at The Tetley, Leeds

Saturday 16 March

10 am – 12:30 pm (The Tetley, Leeds)

 

Lucyoga’s Yoga for Change workshop explores how to practically use yoga to help you deal with change. This workshop will look at change related to political and social events, and things that are happening in your life that affect you but that are not determined by your own actions.

 

We will work specifically on how to deal with challenging and heightened emotions such as anger and frustration, and burnout from activism or caring for others.

 

This workshop focuses on how you can keep yourself healthy and well at times of great change. We will look at how to acknowledge, and then move on from, negative feelings which can hinder our ability to change, and learn how to progress forward in challenging circumstances.

What is Dru Yoga?

Dru Yoga is a beautiful slow and flowing form of yoga that will help you to relax, unwind and stretch out your body. It can help revive tired muscles, reduce back pain and combat stress. Dru Yoga gives the mind and body much needed rest and relaxation, to help you find a still point in your busy world.

What to expect

These workshops will bring together physical movements and asana (yoga postures) with more subtle yoga techniques like mudras (hand gestures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation.

Physical movements and yoga help us to become aware of ourselves, to let go of stress and anxiety, to become more mindful. And to allow the body to release the emotions we store so deeply, to enable us to relax fully.

Intertwined with the asana we will try out mudras and pranayama which can help bring moments of peace and calm when you need them most – in the middle of your day and in challenging situations.
 
In all workshops, we’ll take an extended relaxation, helped by the movement and stretching we’ve just done, and supported by bolsters and blankets so you can be as comfortable as possible.
 

Who are these workshops suitable for?

 
These workshops, are suitable for you whether you are totally new to yoga, have been practising for years, or anything in between.

The workshops will be gentle and restorative and suitable for EVERYONE no matter what your fitness level, health or yoga experience is like. They will be suitable for those with health challenges, who are pregnant or post-natal. But it is vital that you inform me in advance if you have any current or chronic health issues, are pregnant or less than 6 months post-natal. Email lucy@lucyoga.co.uk to let me know.
