‘Beyond all expectations! Thank you so much. Both my body and soul feel utterly nurtured’ – feedback from an attendee of the Andaulcian retreat in June 2015
Torrox, Andalucia, Spain
Do you ever feel like you just need to get away, to pack a bag and head to the hills? Well I’ve got just the thing – join me for a yoga adventure that is exactly that, complete with fresh mountain air, sea views, open skies and scrumptious food.
The lovely folk at Andalucia Glamping are throwing open their canvas doors for us, for a four night adventure into the wilds of these Spanish coastal mountains. Set in a stunning location this mountainside Glamping site boasts gorgeous sea views and beautiful, quirky accommodation.
This yoga holiday is all about spontaneity and adventure, so I can’t tell you exactly what each day will entail. But what I do know is that, whatever the weather, we’ll be practicing yoga on the terrace at least twice a day and there will be beautiful food freshly prepared for you. Plus we’ll have Angie’s craft workshops that you can join in with, to exercise your creative spark.
We are not going to schedule this holiday too much, because it’s all about you. And time and space for you to choose what you do. Our hosts at Andalucia Glamping – Angie, Julian and Luke – will be on hand though to help with lots of local knowledge.
We’d recommend you hire a car, although transfers to and from the airport are available. Angie says you can walk down the mountain to town, but you’ll need a pretty sturdy set of lungs, and legs, to get back up!
Perhaps you’ll choose to spend your time gazing out at the sea, reading a book. Or indulging in a few board-games on the terrace. Maybe you’d like to go out walking in the surrounding mountains, or go horse-riding? You could even head down to the beach and go for a wild swim. Or if you want a quick dip there’s a plunge pool on the terrace looking out to the sea.
If you’ve got a car you could head to the town of Torrox and while away a few hours in the local bars, or go to the beautiful Frigiliana, a gorgeous Pueblo Blanco with a brilliant little tapas restaurant just down the coast. Or head in-land to the lost village of El Acebuchal and explore the history of remote Spain and the Spanish Civil War.
Or you might just want to hang out at your tent supping some of the scrumptious Yogi Tea. They are sending us off to Spain with some lovely boxes of tea so we can truly relax and build up our energy for winter.
November is a wild-card month in Andalucia in terms of weather. Average temperatures are around 18˚ in the day, dropping to around 10˚ at night. This is pretty much reflective of an average British summer so it sounds fine to me!
But come prepared for sun, rain, wind and a bit of cold. Bring your light layers, your fleece, hat, gloves and suncream! We spend so much time avoiding the weather in the UK, this holiday will be about embracing it.
The Nitty Gritty… Accommodation
There are three different options for accommodation at Andalucia Glamping so you can choose whether you want to sleep under-the-stars or inside. There’s an ensuite double or twin room in the villa, two beautiful bell tents or the budget-busting option to bring your own tent!
If you choose the Soul Pad Bell Tents or the ensuite villa room then you can expect
- Lovely comfy beds with fresh bedding
- Soaps & Shampoos
- Welcome pack
- Plenty of blankets
If you come with your own tent then you’ll need to bring your own bits and pieces, so come equipped with sleeping bag, towel, toiletries and torch.
All Glamping options include use of the outdoor (but private!) shower and toilet.
The on-site chef at Andalucia Glamping, Julian, will be whipping up a storm for us in his kitchen using seasonal, fresh and local produce. We think good food is a very important part of your holiday, so you’ll be fed well! The price for this holiday includes:
- Help-yourself healthy breakfast with fruit, yoghurt, museli etc.
- A buffet-style picnic lunch with fresh salads and dips
- A choice of evening meal (vegetarian or meat eaters) with a tasty, healthy dessert
A brand-new type of yoga retreat: a Yoga Weekender of Dru Yoga, fabulous food and contemporary art in the heart of Leeds city centre.
For the first Yoga Weekender Lucyoga has sourced Leeds’ finest independent food, music, accommodation and art spaces to host this yoga city break. With accommodation at the new Art Hostel, where you are serenaded in the shower by David Bowie and tucked up at night amongst the art works in your room, this weekend will set out to explore the DIY heart of Leeds which has made it an art, music, beer and gastro destination of choice.
The Yoga Weekender will take place in different venues around the city offering long, slow and soothing yoga sessions to ease out body and mind. The focus will be on finding balance, creating inner strength and resilience so that you can enjoy life without hitting burnout.
Do you work long hours and want to keep going so you can have all the fun? Are you struggling with balancing work, family and personal life? Or do you have stress or health worries that keep you from making the best of things? The gentle yoga sessions during the weekend will help you forge a path to a happier place.
And other than the yoga…?
We’ve got prosecco and canapés (organic, fresh and local of course!) and award-winning Indian street food and craft beer, just to get started. There’ll be long, slow brunches (we are big fans of ‘second breakfast’ at Lucyoga), art gallery tours, time to mooch, shop (Leeds does shopping very well), sleep…
And if all that wasn’t enough, we will have some lovely gift packs for all guests from the amazing Yogi Tea company. So you can sit back and indulge in one of the best Yorkshire past times whilst still indulging your taste buds.
The Nitty Gritty…Accommodation
If you choose the Yoga Weekender Residential option you will be able to select a bed in either a twin or triple room at the Art Hostel. If you are coming with friends then you can reserve a twin or triple room for exclusive use of your party, subject to availability and all members of your party booking together. Have specific people you would like to share a room with? Please specify this immediately on booking, otherwise you’ll be allocated a roomy.
Art Hostel Rooms
All the rooms at the Art Hostel are individually designed by artists and are completely unique. They all feature bunk beds and shared bathrooms. All bed linen and towels are provided, along with a basic help yourself breakfast.
Live Locally? Got Somewhere Else to Stay?
If you live locally you don’t have to miss out! You can still come on the Yoga Weekender – just buy the non-residential package.
And if hostel accommodation is not for you, then why not try one of the many hotels in Leeds? Just buy the non-residential package and then book your own place to stay.
What you’d need to bring
Yourself, and a good appetite! And a yoga kit. You will need a yoga mat, block, strap and blanket and a way to carry them around with you for the weekend. Or you can buy a yoga kit from me when you book – everything you will need for just £40, including a kit bag.
The Art Hostel and all of the Yoga Weekender’s activities are situated in the heart of Leeds city centre, very close to the train station. This is by far the easiest way to get to the Yoga Weekender as parking is limited and could get expensive in the city centre.
Virgin Trains run very regular services from London and other major cities, via the East Coast Mainline. Prices for a London – Leeds ticket start at around £14.50 if booked in advance, see https://www.virgintrainseastcoast.com/

Join us for five days of yoga, relaxation, sea and sunshine while we stock up on the last of the summer sun in the upmarket coastal town of Moraira on the Costa Blanca, Spain.
On this relaxed, intimate Dru Yoga holiday we will enjoy twice daily yoga sessions programmed to help you unwind and melt away any stress and strains you may have built up . Lucyoga will be teaching you the tools for relaxation that you can use to bring peace and balance into your daily lives. Suitable for all levels, this yoga holiday will help you forget the world back home while we slow down and re-connect with our bodies and breath through the gentle practice of Dru Yoga.
Accommodation & Location
We will be staying in a beautiful traditional white finca with a gorgeous pool just a 20 minute walk from the nearby town beach cove Cala de L’Andrago, where you can find clear, warm sea and beachside cafe/restaurant. You will have plenty of free time in the day to explore the local beaches and town, or lounge by the pool and just be!
Accommodation consists of two luxury twin rooms (which can also be made into doubles), these two rooms share an en-suite bathroom and have access to their own private terrace areas. There is also a three-bed dorm style room, perfect for a small group to share, and one double room, which is available for single occupancy only.
We will enjoy an evening out in Moraira and there will also be an organised excursion to the beautiful secluded Cala Moraig, where you can swim in the crystal clear water and enjoy beachside snacks at the restaurant.
We will also be taking you for an evening out to the charming Spanish white hill town of Altea. Here we will have dinner and you will be free to roam and explore the town, which is particularly magical by night. There will also be the opportunity to have a Thai Foot Massage or a Reiki healing session with our on-site therapist Danielle.
Moraira boasts a very stable Mediterranean climate with approximately 300 sunny days a year so enjoy some yoga and relaxation whilst stocking up on the last of the sunshine before winter.
Places on this holiday are limited to eight and they will sell out very quickly, so do not miss out on this chance to grab yourself some sunshine before the winter chill sets in.
“This trip was everything I wanted it to be. A beautiful location, restorative yoga, delicious food and great company. I’d definitely go again.” — Ben Newton
Lucyoga Goes to Yorkshire 3 – 6 September 2015
We are excited to announce our first weekend yoga and walking retreat in Yorkshire.
Set in the beautiful rolling hills that caress the border of West and North Yorkshire, our first UK retreat will be held at The Healthy Home (as seen on TV!).
‘a fantastic opportunity to lean more about yoga, its philosophy and how it can transition your life physically, mentally and spiritually. Lucy shares her knowledge and wisdom of yoga with the utmost care and generosity.’ – feedback from an attendee of the Andaulcian retreat in June 2015
This gorgeous house sits in stunning countryside, with just sheep and hills for neighbours, but is still easily accessible by train (under 3 hours from London).
A healthy home from home
The Healthy Home is built around an old Crofter’s cottage that is over 350 years old. This, and the farm buildings, have been carefully renovated to minimise the impact of modern living, using non-chemical materials and cleaning products, filtering natural spring water and ionising air in the rooms so that The Healthy Home is low in toxins and promotes wellness. The whole place has been designed to make you feel calm, relaxed and deeply rested. Read more
During our weekend at The Healthy Home we’ll be indulging in plenty of Dru Yoga, with a spot of evening meditation too, eating home cooked vegetarian food and chilling out in one of the many social spaces indoors, or the extensive private gardens.
We will take you out on a nice long walk with a picnic, in the stunning Yorkshire countryside. A great way to blow the cobwebs and stress away.
Soak up Yorkshire
There’ll be some free time to rest, read or go further afield. The house is close to the beautiful market town of Skipton if you want to go and get some real Yorkshire fish and chips, or maybe try a pint of the local real ale!

Less than an hour’s drive from Malaga and 25 minutes from the sea, the holiday takes place in a secluded traditional Spanish farmhouse, surrounded by mountains and the many white washed Spanish villages of the La Axarquia region. Our daily open-air yoga sessions will take place on the shaded farmhouse terrace, set against a backdrop of majestic mountain ranges and the Andalucian sun.
There will be two Dru Yoga classes each day with plenty of free time to enjoy lounging by the pool, exploring the surrounding hills or sampling some of the holistic therapies on offer. On two days there will be an extended morning practice and then you have rest of the day free to explore, or simply relax and unwind. Please see the Get Lost activities page for ideas on how you can spend your exploration days.
We will be serving delicious nourishing food to support your yoga practice and wellbeing. Your stay includes fresh fruit upon waking, a hearty brunch and a substantial dinner. A light lunch of Gazpacho soup will be provided each day or you are welcome to prepare your own lunch in the kitchen. A range of herbal teas, fresh fruit and other snacks are always available throughout the day if you get peckish. We are happy to provide for those who have specific dietary requirements.
You will be staying in a traditional farmhouse or one of the separate lodges. Both provide spacious, comfortable shared twin or double bedrooms; all rooms have en-suite bathrooms. The main farmhouse has two luxury doubles that share an adjoining balcony enjoying stunning mountain views; one of these rooms has a luxurious bathroom with claw foot tub and shower. Some rooms are available for single occupancy for a supplementary fee.
Dru Yoga Holiday in Andalucia 2014
with Lucyoga and Get Lost Retreats: 31 May – 6 June 2014
My friends at Get Lost Retreats and I organsied a holiday for six days of relaxation and rejuvenation in the Andalucian sun.
I taught simple yoga tools to the 15 yogi holidayers to take home so they could bring some balance and peace into their daily lives. This holiday was tailored to suit everybody, from beginners to advanced, young and not so young, and was an unforgettable experience.
The holiday was located in a beautiful Spanish farmhouse, with private pool and en-suite rooms. See the photos on my Facebook page and check out Get Lost Retreats for details of our next trip in 2015.
“What a wonderful time we had on our Get Lost/ Lucyoga holiday. There is not a
single thing that I could fault. The food was delicious, the views magical, the company wonderful and the yoga life changing – I came back a new woman! Inclusive, friendly, relaxed and focused – I would recommend wholeheartedly a Get Lost/ Lucyoga retreat. We felt so well looked after, Lou was the perfect host – and Lucy’s yoga, meditation and play list were superb! Thank you so much for a wonderful time, you have left us two very happy yogi’s.” — Rebecca & Phil
