Hit the pause button and enjoy a weekend of supportive Dru Yoga workshops in London

Are you battling with stress, low energy, tiredness or big changes in your life? Do you feel like you need to move and stretch more, to develop your personal yoga practice?
How about taking the last weekend of September and setting it some of it aside for two self-nurturing yoga workshops? Some time to relax, to hit the pause button and reset body and mind?
Because I know exactly how it feels to be hurtling into autumn head-first, I’ve put together a weekend of supportive, soothing Dru Yoga, just when its most needed.

Find your inner spark, even when you don’t feel like it
This Saturday afternoon yoga workshop will use some gently energising Dru Yoga to help you tap into the body’s sneakily hidden energy stores, finding ways to raise mood, lessen fatigue and get your va va voom back!
What to expect
The first part of this workshop will focus on preparing the body through activations, Dru Energy Block Release Sequences and preparatory stretches. We’ll then work with a series of postures that can help tap into your body’s natural energy reserves, in a positive and sustainable way, to help you find your way out of the fog of fatigue and stress.
To finish there will be an extended relaxation, to make sure that you are topped up with as much stillness and rest as you need to be able to increase your natural energy levels.

Chill out and deeply relax
Following the much-loved Relaxation Workshop format, we’ll be exploring new ways to find stillness and calm. This Sunday afternoon chill-out will be all about taking time-out to reset, to feel peaceful and positive.
What to expect
The first part of this yoga workshop will be exploring deep stretches to release the fascia – “a band or sheet of connective tissue, primarily collagen, beneath the skin that attaches, stabilises, encloses, and separates muscles and other internal organs.” (Wikipedia) – which can often become tight due to physical or emotional trauma, scarring or inflammation. These stretches are gentle but challenging, slowly working to release long held tension in the body.
Following these deep release stretches we’ll focus on Dru Yoga sequences and postures that enable us to feel grounded and secure, to gain perspective on our lives, so that we are not just rushing from one thing to the next.
The workshop will, of course, have an extended relaxation at the end to soothe the nervous system and give your body and mind deep rest.

What is Dru Yoga?
Dru Yoga is a beautiful flowing form of yoga that will help you to unwind and stretch out your body. It can help revive tired muscles, reduce back pain and combat stress. Dru Yoga gives the mind and body much needed energy, to help you find strength and peace in a busy world.
Who are these yoga workshops suitable for?
The yoga workshops will be suitable for all body types and levels of fitness. They are suitable for beginners as Lucy teaches a fully instructed session that doesn’t require any prior knowledge of yoga. For those with more yoga experience this is a chance to try a new style of yoga, one that focuses on your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
They are also open to those with health challenges, who are pregnant or post-natal, but it is vital that you inform Lucy in advance if you have any current or chronic health issues, are pregnant or less than 6 months post-natal as she will prepare alternatives for you for some parts of the workshops.
