Sunday Relaxation Workshop 10 July 2016

“If I didn’t define myself for myself, I would be crunched into other people’s fantasies for me and eaten alive.” – Audre Lorde

** UPDATE **

I’ve been tweaking my plan and focus for this relaxation workshop, to not just focus on proper selfishness, and self-compassion but also how to cope emotionally with the fallout from the political turmoil in the UK at the moment. We are indeed living in interesting times, but that’s not always that easy to cope with, so the session will look at finding your own inner confidence and joy whilst living through changes we cannot directly control. There is one space left.BOOK NOW

Do you find that sometimes it’s hard to keep yourself on track? To remember what it is that you promised yourself at the start of the year? To recall those pledges you made to ‘not do that again’?

When you get a moment of clarity, that something isn’t really doing you a lot of good, and actually you’d be much better not doing that, or seeing that person anymore, or taking that sh*t from someone, it’s brilliant. But then time marches on and we get swayed by circumstances, our desire to please, peer pressure, our own forgetfulness, or perhaps just hopefulness that this time it will be different.

With that in mind I am going to be running two distinctly different yoga sessions at the start of July in south London. A class and a workshop. Read on for full details and booking.

Continuing with the theme of looking out for yourself, this special Sunday session will be focused on ‘me-time’, for YOU. An opportunity to move, stretch and deeply relax before the start of the working week, ensuring that you are putting yourself first, and you feel just brilliant (because then you will be the best you can be for everyone else too).

I’ll be running this with the beautiful assistance of Dru Yoga student teacher and Reiki therapist Danielle Galway.

All equipment will be provided and the centre has full changing and showering facilities should you want them. It’s very nice and easy to get to.

Peckham Evening Class

Wednesday 6 July (covering for Lindsey Magill)
7 – 8pm, Victor’s Lab, Peckham
SOLD OUT. Email me to join the waiting list

This class will be about proper selfishness. Once described to me as the ‘put your own oxygen mask on before attending to any infants’ theory. Basically you can’t help save someone else’s life if you can’t breathe. So you have to make sure you are OK in order to help others.

This session will work on helping you find your inner confidence and seek clarity as to what is good for YOU, what makes you feel the best you can.

Bring a yoga mat to this class, if you can, as mats are limited at this venue.
