Join Lucyoga on the first Saturday of each month* for an upbeat, but gentle, yoga session at The Tetley in central Leeds, that will help you start your weekend feeling relaxed.
This is fun, relaxing ‘no stress’ Dru Yoga in central Leeds, suitable for all body types and levels of experience. The yoga classes will draw on themes from The Tetley’s exhibition programme and be set to carefully crafted playlists.
What is Dru Yoga?
Dru Yoga is a beautiful flowing form of yoga that will help you to unwind and stretch out your body. It can help revive tired muscles, reduce back pain and combat stress. Dru Yoga gives the mind and body much needed energy, to help you find strength and peace in a busy world.
Who is it suitable for?
The class will be suitable for all body types and levels of fitness. It is suitable for beginners as Lucy teaches a fully instructed session that doesn’t require any prior knowledge of yoga. For those with more yoga experience this is a chance to try a new style of yoga, one that focuses on your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.
It also open to those with health challenges, who are pregnant or post-natal. It is vital that you inform Lucy in advance if you have any current or chronic health issues, are pregnant or post-natal as I will prepare alternatives for you, for some parts of the class. Where does the yoga happen?
The yoga sessions will take place in the City Workshop, one of many beautiful spaces in this iconic ex-brewery which now houses The Tetley art gallery, bar and cafe.
What should I bring?
Please bring a yoga mat, blanket and a bottle of water. A few yoga mats will be available for you to borrow if you don’t have one. Please let me know if you need a mat in advance by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
How to book
I take bookings online, so that you can register and pay before the class, and I know who to expect. You are welcome to come along on the day and pay in cash, but places are subject to availability. If you are coming for the first time, and have not pre-booked, please arrive 10 minutes before the class starts. This will enable you to complete the health questionnaire.
