Introducing Dru Yoga classes with Keighley and Craven Athletics Club
I’m really excited to be running Dru Yoga classes in collaboration with Keighley and Craven Athletics Club.
Classes will be focused specifically on yoga for releasing tight muscles, stretching, and strengthening for runners and athletes. They are open to the general public and will be inclusive for all body types and levels of fitness.
These new Dru Yoga classes will take place in the Auditorium of The Venue at University Academy Keighley (details below).
Mondays 7 – 8 pm
Wednesdays 7.30 – 8.45 pm
Prices start at £4 per session for KCAC members and £6 per session for non-members.
About the Classes
These Dru Yoga sessions will help you to create a healthy and supple body and to enjoy being mindful and improve your breathing whilst running. This easy-to-practice yoga uses slow and flowing movements to improve core stability, flexibility and help release tension. This can improve performance, reduce injury and increase stamina.
Everyone is welcome. I teach a fully instructed class that doesn’t require any prior knowledge of yoga or flexibility (so great for beginners). And the classes will evolve in response to those that come along, so take part and experience a new way to stretch and relax.
Dru Yoga is a style of Hatha Yoga, which is influenced by Tai Chi and Qi Gong, Pilates, Isolated Active Stretching and other technique, which keep the body and mind healthy and strong, to build resilience inside and out.
Classes take place in the Auditorium, which is in ‘The Venue’ of University Academy Keighley (formerly Greenhead School). There is a large free car park directly outside the entrance to The Venue.

A limited number of yoga mats will be provided, but you are encouraged to bring your own as this is more hygienic.
